Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the story of
Shafin de Zane is a cinematic tale of dreams coming to reality.
Born in a middle class family, he started working for payment
from the age of 5 and throughout the first 22 years of his life
worked in numerous different jobs. At age 12 he was sent to an
army institution (Cadet College) to prepare for the military and
he spent his teenage in an institution where he was allowed to
see the outside world only every 3 months.
Experiencing extreme physical hardship and human behavior under
stress, this is where he became fascinated with psychology and
the human mind. He observed that the human mind operates in
strange ways especially when there is a lot of stress involved.
He also observed that certain “buttons” elicited certain
behaviors and if you knew how to press those buttons, you could
control a human mind. Out of survival necessity, these were the
very first steps Shafin took towards understanding the human
mind.
After 6 years of Cadet College training, Shafin managed to opt
out of the army due to “medical reasons” and continued his quest
of understanding human behavior. However higher education for
Shafin had to wait because even though there were great dreams,
there wasn’t enough money to finance those dreams. He had
decided he wanted to see the world and what better way to start
that journey than travel across the world to a snowy land to
study the workings of the human mind. It failed to occur to
Shafin that this was the “wrong” dream for a poor boy from
Dhaka.
For the next 2 years Shafin worked in an IT institute and saved
up enough money to finance the first part of what he had been
dreaming of. A plane ticket and one semester’s worth of cash so
he could go to study psychology in Canada.
Even though the dream came true, reality didn’t quite match what
Shafin had expected. Traditional psychology and psychiatry did
not suit well with him and he decided to drop out of university.
In his own words “diagnosing people with an illness and keeping
them on medicine was not a very fulfilling thing to do.” He came
back home to Dhaka after one year with no idea of what to do.
Shafin de Zane started his business career at the age of 21 and
failed in three consecutive businesses. At 23, he went bankrupt
and lost virtually everything. He entered a state of depression
and had nowhere else to go. Interestingly, this is when he made
his real beginning…
Here is what Shafin writes about his experience:
“On my 23rd birthday, some interesting
things happened. Some things that had never happened before. I
received not a single phone call from anyone who would wish me a
happy birthday. My best friend forgot. My Mum forgot. The girl I
was dating at the time forgot… I stayed up all night wondering
if this is how my life is always going to be? Lonely, poor and
boring… My dreams were all shattered and I had no idea what I
was supposed to do.
Right before the sun came out, I started crying. I cried not
because nobody remembered me but because I just couldn’t find
the answer to why I had to have such a lousy start. I cried and
I cried for so long that I lost track of time. I didn’t go out
for days and I didn’t sleep for nights. I never really
contemplated suicide but this is when I reached that place
called zero…
As I tell my students these days, being at zero is an
interesting place to be. A lot of miracles tend to happen when
you have reached the end of everything. Somehow when you have
nothing to lose anymore, life takes a u-turn. So it was one of
these days something happened in me and I decided that things
have got to change. It cannot go on like this.
I made a definite promise to myself that I am going to do
whatever it takes, no matter what, to bring about a change in my
life! I was ready to do anything! And the story soon started to
change!
For 2 years I went through the wildest roller coaster ride of my
life! I went to absolute highs and I was given challenges that
almost ruined me. But I had made a commitment to do whatever it
takes. And in these two years, what I experienced and learned
changed my life in beyond my wildest dreams!”
In the next 5 years, Shafin achieved and became what may look
like a Hollywood movie. His businesses started picking up and
branched out to Singapore, Russia and United States. In 2004 he
moved to Singapore and began operating from there. He went back
to healing arts and became a Master Hypnotist at age 26 and also
obtained a diploma on Hypnotherapy. He became a member of the
National Guild of Hypnotists, USA the same year. Eventually from
2005, he began to teach more and more people the deeper sides of
spirituality through meditation workshops on his unique
mind-body-spirit self-healing method called “Redefine Your
Reality Self Hypnosis and Meditation System”.
In 2006 Shafin wrote the book Redefine Your Reality which
instantly became a hit on the internet, thanks to the popularity
of the
free Foundation Course
that Shafin conducts for any one who is interested. Through a
unique method of Internet marketing, Shafin is able to reach
thousands of people across the world all of who experience a 7
day coaching program with him, completely free of charge. Ever
since then, he has been working exclusively from Singapore and
teaching students around the world both live in workshops and
seminars and also over the Internet. As of this writing, Shafin
de Zane has over 100,000 students in over 95 countries in the
world.
Some Kind Words
About Shafin From the Ex-Students:
... Shafin is
an amazing teacher. He makes things which are so complex into a very simple way
of teaching. He uses very good concepts that everyone can benefit for sure.
Abu Noohu, Singapore
…I do not have the words to express my thanks
for what I have received in the past few days. Shafin is
gifted not only with his talent for hypnosis but with
compassion and empathy. It was a long road that led me
to seek the help of a professional and I am immensely
grateful that it led me to him.
Amy Rogers, USA
…About Shafin de Zane, I don’t think there is a word in
my vocabulary good enough to describe him but personally
I don’t think anyone else could have helped me the way
he did. God bless him!!!
Anika Ahmed, Bangladesh
...if there was one word to
describe this experience, I’d say “astonishing”! I have studied with some of the
world class gurus of self improvement but I can confidently say I have never
even thought that transformation of this kind was even possible. It took me by
surprise and changed me from inside.
Carsten Friesen, USA
...Shafin, thanks for everything! I
am really inspired. I know that I will have a bright future!
Chooi Ping, Singapore
...Shafin is without a doubt a terrific speaker! Kind and
compassionate. He is real, humorous, humble and very
“true”. His wisdom far surpasses his age. An extremely
knowledgeable person with a big heart too. A great,
great teacher-in-life.
Francesca D'Rose, Singapore
More than the course contents I was impressed by Mr.
Zane. He is a born teacher, everything a pupil looks
upon in an instructor. Mr. Zane has given me the key to
unlock my mind and slowly but surely dissolve the
frustration, anger and other negative feelings that were
blocking every aspect of my life. I have no words to
repay what I have been taught. I will cherish his
teachings for as long as know I have a soul and want to
cleanse it.
I. B. S
…Today is the last day of the class and I don’t know how
I am going to say thank you to Shafin. How do you say
thank you to the person who changes your whole
perception of reality? I don’t know. But I wish him all
the luck and a long life. This man is an asset to
humanity.
Laura Shortland, Canada
...I’ve attended quite a few spiritual classes and read many books. But I feel that
Shafin summarizes the truth and teaches it very well. One of the best I’ve
heard. Simple and easy to understand.
Lim Hui Fang, Singapore
...Shafin, firstly, I really want to thank you for bringing me through this
journey. I know this perhaps is the beginning or perhaps I have found the
purpose in life that brought me here. Your knowledge, wisdom, patience and love
have shown me a lot. A lot of things which I always doubted if I will be able to
achieve have suddenly become clearer and attainable.
Once again, thank you.
Nancy Low,

more.
